the most sought after game fish in Texas. A highly predatory fish, striking
on many different types of lures as well as natural bait.
LAKE SEMINOLE, Georgia. N 30°
40.140' W84° 52.520' , borders both Georgia and Florida and has 37,500 acres
of water and over 18,000 acres of surrounding land. 30 miles along the Chattahoochee
River and up the Flint River for 35 miles, Lake Seminole has 376 massive miles
of shoreline. Completed in 1957, this U.S. Corp of Engineers lake has been a
favorite on the N.B.F. tournaments for many years. With its numerous stump and
grass beds which provide the cover for largemouth and hybrid bass, anglers are
in their element all year round. Its native American history is fascinating
and their settlements have been dated back to at least 10,000 years. The lake
also offers fabulous bird watching.
Bass Tournaments
Lake Seminole is ranked 5th as the best bass fishing lake in the US. Every year
there are many Lake Seminole fishing bass tournaments. Lunker largemouth, scrappy
hybrid, striped and white bass, catfish, crappie and bream are in large numbers.
More than 79 different types of fish have been identified in Lake Seminole.
