I have a few types of gorgonians including a purple branching and a whole bunch of encrusting gorgs, but out of those, this pretty little red branching specimen is probably my favorite. Unlike many corals, this species is non-photosynthetic and needs regular feedings of phytoplankton or small foods to survive.
